T. L. Saaty Decision Making Hackathon

Business School, University of Pittsburgh

Do you want to see how you can change the way we measure things? Do you want to see how you can tackle the toughest decisions with confidence? Join the T.L. Saaty Decision Making for Leaders Hackathon to learn how to solve complex practical business problems using both hard data and your personal perspective and experiences. Experience new ways to provide custom solutions that reflect the way that the company you work for operates and sees the world. During this event, you will learn decision-making techniques that will help you to stand out by teaching you how to avoid cookie-cutter solutions and easily explainable your solution processes.

Register for the TL Saaty Hackathon to learn how to do the above and then compete along with your team to define and solve a problem that the business partner working with us for this year’s Hackathon, has encountered in the past, is currently analyzing or may be facing in the future.

To honor the legacy of Distinguished University Professor Thomas L. Saaty (1926-2017), best known as the creator of the decision-making methods Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) for resolving complex problems, we are launching the first TL Saaty Decision Making for Leaders Hackathon in March 2022. This is a community-based initiative, bringing together academia with businesses, nonprofits, and other organizations. We will show you what the AHP/ANP process is so you will be ready to use it in the competition. Working with a selected business partner, to be announced soon, you will analyze real-world use-cases and propose solutions. A panel of judges with expertise in AHP/ANP and the challenge topics will select the winning solution.
The winning team received a $3,000 award.
2022's competition was held from March 18, 2022, to March 20,2022
Registrations closed on March 7, 2022.
